Had the Portuguese chicken sandwich with wholemeal bread here and honestly I thought there was too much chilli and not enough chicken. Feels more like thai chilli chicken than Portuguese chicken. The place is takeaway only and they did not mention about surcharge for credit card use which is disappointing.

Walked past this place looking for a lunch break option and saw a line almost spilling out to the road so thought it must be good. Ordered the "Hot Bird" on wholemeal. In one word: Amazing. The chicken schnitzel was cooked to perfection and the coating with the nashville hot sauce was *chefs kiss*. I think I have now found my regular lunch spot for those days I am in the office!

Great lunch spot and queue is not as bad as it looks. We had the hot bird, schnitzel deluxe, and fries. Chicken was crispy and crunchy all over and fries were also crispy and good with soft steamy inside.

If you love sandwiches and happen to be in Circular Quay area, do go to North Sandwiches Cafe for a good bite. I had the Chef’s recommended “Portugese Chicken sourdough sandwich “ and it is spicy but good! Cafe is located at basement and easy to miss the entrance.

Worth the hype... I ate the hot bird on white sourdough on my first day in AUS. I was jetlagged from a multi-flight trip from the US east coast, utterly starved, and this sando was just what I needed. The queue was quite reasonable and I went at just a bit after noon on a Wednesday. *Heads up to other foreigners like me: Other reviewers mention ordering online to beat the rush, but travelers should know that you need a "valid" - i.e., Aussie - phone number to place an order on their website. Come early-ish to beat the queue.

The sandwiches get their due appreciation here, but I don't think the salad bowls get enough attention. For an extra $2 you can turn any sandwich into a quinoa/kale salad that is seriously better than any salad options in the area. This one has grilled chicken, kale, quinoa, sweet potato, carrot, spring onion, walnuts - downside is they're not really a salad bar so you can't pick or choose ingredients, but I still go through several of these a week.

Amazing burger and the service was reasonably quick I waited about 10 minutes during peak hour with lines almost going outside, not many places to sit but if you’re okay to go for a little walk then there’s little blocks you can sit on along George St, I ordered the smoke house burger and it’s definitely in my top 5, will be back for sure!

Ladies and Gentlemen! This is the lunch spot for you hungry and hardworking people. Good quality sandwiches with fresh bread, packed with hella ingredients wrapped in alfoil and served with a smile, It’s definitely good value for money but the wait can be awhile the line goes out the freaking door (not a bad sign right). Get in early and pepper your Angus :)
